Chocolate-Partridge Wyandottes

The original Chocolate-Partridge were created by Clive Carefoot, but the line died out when Clive went ill. Thanks to the hard work of Grant, Rob and Rich they mananged to keep the Chocolate Orps living and then Grant went on to produce more Chocolate-Partridge in memory of Clive.

The Chocolate-Partridge are like any new colour - they still need alot of work, but i was pleased when Grant gave me the oppurtunity to own some. I now have a nice Flock of Chocolate-Partridge and the 2009 Growers are looking amazing! I bred as many as i could in 2009 so should have some nice birds to select from for the 2010 season.

We are also working on getting the Lemon Hackles back into them so they will be just like Clive Carefoot's original ones.

The 4th, 5th and 6th pictures are a Chocolate-Partridge Cock Breeder female, you can see this with her Pencilling being very coarse and blurred.
